Fiber Filter Bags 25 micron porosity- 200 Count. Order F57 Filter Bags by 200 count package quantity (E.g. 5 = 1,000 filter bags). Volume discounts will be applied when added to the shopping cart. Quantity discounts apply at 1000, 5000 and 10,000 quantities
The F57 filter bag now incorporates a process called point-bonding to laminate the various layers of the filter matrix. This process causes some noticeable “points” to be visible, however this does not affect the porosity or flow characteristics of the material. Exhaustive testing was done to confirm consistency and results before making the process change.
Order F58 Filter Bags by 100 count package quantity(E.g. 10 = 1,000 filter bags). Volume discounts will be applied when added to the shopping cart. Quantity discounts apply at 1000, 5000 and 10,000 quantities
The F58 filter bag is mainly designed for customers working with small grind size samples (0.5 – 1.0 mm screens) to support NIR analysis and some samples known for significant pulverization during grinding, regardless of screen size.
The porosity of the F58 filter bags are finer than the F57 but have increased flow capacity because of the type of polymer used to make the filter matrix. The F58 will allow better flow of chemicals to the sample and reduce artificially high values due to clumping caused by some sample types. Use for crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber analysis. The bag has not been validated for use in the Daisy Incubator for in vitro studies.
Due to the polymers used, the F58 bag cannot be used to support follow-on assays for nitrogen or 72% H2SO4 lignin.
The Moisture Stop Weigh Pouch contains a desiccant packet which absorbs moisture within the zipper bag. It is used when cooling and weighing filter bags to avoid unwanted absorption of moisture in the dried samples which would skew results.
To properly record results, it is best to label ANKOM Filter Bags before running an assay.
The F08 Marker is an acetone resistant black marker that can be used to label ANKOM F57, F58, XT4, and In Situ Bags.
